dug some fresh lug and headed down to weybourne, parked up fine and where suggested (thanks meanstreak) walked to the right of the boats about 300 yards. First two cast lost both sets of gear on fouled up line during the cast (my bad and line damaged unbeknown to me) , going to be one of them nights after getting a puncture on the way too... finally got a bait out on the bottom which i left while i got some mac feathers out and had a go. After about 20 mins got into a few nice sized macks which i kept for bbq, also a few sand eels showing again. A few guys along side me had a hand full of macs to but nothing to write home about.

Decided to keep going into darkness and then finally got first bite of the day which i missed, next cast got a small schoolie which promptly went back in. All in all a nice evening, no rain but weed was a pain. Major weed on the flood, but the ebb there was nothing, we stayed till 11.15pm so it was well into the ebb to.

For anyone thinking of fishing the shingle i would be really only thinking of macs right now unless your going to fish the ebb tide well into darkness other wise its a bit of a waste of time to be fair.

Sorry cant post anything more positive guys but its very slow there right now, im going to try a bit further round friday possibly winterton, bacton or somewhere with an evening high around 10pm friday

Sorry got the date wrong at the top was the 15th :)

Well done on the Macks, I always fish to the left of the pipe as no snags there, also found that just before lowtide seems best at distance, Bacton at high tide is not a good idea because you will be fishing off the sea wall, with these sized tides you will have no beach to fish on, best there at low tide

thanks guys good to see you again last week allstar, did you manage your early morning session the day after? Meanstreak i was thinking the gas terminal end which i think you can fish from behind the revetments, i dont like going exploring on high tides but want to get one somewhere friday night hopefully around 10pm, ive just looked at the tide table and ive got to go as far round as GT Yarmouth to get one at 10pm! Think im going to give caistor or hemsby a look unless anyone can recommend a good beach in that area for dogs or hounds?
