Which fixed spool reel for fishing rough ground it's goto have good line lay
I know there the new ones, but are they strong on the retrieve, for example could you steadily wind in a codling about 2-3lb or a decent sized dog without excessive pumping?Mate there the new ones out . Awesome reel . Slow osillation line lay gives you extra meters in the cast . Look stunning light and great retrieve
The Saragosa is a very strong reel but very heavy in the bigger sizes (25000) and the line lay is shocking compared to the aero techs and ultegras. I know a few guys swear by the conflict and battle 6000/ 8000 in the heavy stuff, there's also the clash which apparently has beefed up gearing.I love the Saragosa SW. I did a quick review of mine, check it out.
Thanks for the video. Does the reel only come with one spool? If so, it might be a bit of a white elephant, too shallow for field casting or most fishing applications. The body should be good with the extra bearing and low gearing but not much use if you empty the reel every time you cast it. Do you know if the reel will hold the existing Ultra ci4 spools?I got a Surf Leader at the weekend, I did a quick first impressions vid. Check it out if your interested. Cheers
