No....................

And I know of a few that claim benefits and go fishing all day. If you can fish, you can work! Wouldn't complain so much if taxes were lower, i.e. the hard workers didn't have to support the scabs who can't be arsed!
ive bin called that scab name a few times before and thats by my boss , after hes found out ive been down the beach again hunting worms!!

hope you aint the geezer doing my traps, sick of finishing work drive to traps and some w-nker has done em,get a job yr ponce
do you think that its them scabs DSD was referring to and then they'd be selling them and not telling the taxman ..whiel claiming benefits ...or digging lug and doing the same thing ??? mmm. thats one of the reasons the workers have to pay more tax,,,and ...they are out practising all day so they beat us in the matches!!

bettr still i come down to worthing pier ,we are looking for people to start work ,do ya want a job,na all ya want ta do is ponce, instead of fishing all day ,do something good for us anglers, clean the beache,s up:g: :g:

When i read a thread that some one has taken time and effort to write a report for the benifit of others, certain people hijack the thread with comments not relating to the original thread topic.

Not having a bad day mate - had an enjoyable day off thanks. Back to work tomorrow so i cant go fishing till the weekend after the footy:fishing1:

if you got traps in that river mate , then anyones free to do um , you dont own the place, first come and all that stuff , its just tough if someone else is there first even though you chucked the stuff off of the quay in the first place, i got so fed up with all the arguments over crab a few years back that all the traps i saw i lobbed in the river so no one had any crabs , end of arguments!! ponce not a very nice word to call someone you dont no.... is it!!!

Your not serious????
If i caught you anywhere NEAR my traps, its YOU who would be going in the river!

God - there's a whole new nasty thread to have here if we are going to talk about traps! Best not, I think! :)
I agree mark, but you have to admit thats a pretty outrageous statement to make!
If you pulled some guys pots and took the contents, thats theft, and the police will gladly get involved. I know, as my skippers gear was pillaged and they got nicked. I see no difference just because its on a river bank.

I agree there your traps before you put them in any river, but as soon as you place them in the mud etc. they then belong to the rivers authority etc, and you then can be done for littering, would you admit to them being yours if you were challenged by someone with authority?

An Enviroment Agency worker has warned crabbers that leaving tiles could also be classed as dumping rubbish and littering the river ??:)

I see your point but as Schuey and Clotgoon mention, I think different rules apply to things like tiles and bits of old drainpipe etc. I used to have some traps up the river but they were constantly being done by others so I packed it in eventually. As a weakling anyway there is probably not much I could have done anyway if I caught someone doing them when I got there - which nver happened.
