I got a TF 50/50 the other week and have been out a few times with it. I really like it. . I'm not sure if I would class it as a rough ground rod though.
Very light and slim with a through action okay for casting 150-170 gms.

 

Which Zzippie are we talking about the XTR 50/50????

I have one i use over some roughish to mixed grounds. It seems to haul in over that fine, even with fish and weed on, but i have never tried it over rough ground (I don’t fish over rough ground myself)
It casts well with 150 or 170, has the traditionally slightly thicker tip you would expect of anything other than a clean to mixed ground rod (4500’s, hsm’s etc) but still has fair bite detection.

Phone the guys at Summerlands, let them your requirements, grounds you fish etc; they are always happy to give advice on what they consider to be your best choice. Or you could even phone up Zziplex themselves; once again, always happy to give advice.
